Mozilla rotated its GPG signing key for Firefox and Thunderbird releases after an unencrypted copy of the previous key was accidentally committed to a private GitHub repository, though no unauthorized access was detected. Most users require no action, but those who manually verify GPG signatures must import the new key, and RPM package users on Fedora 42 and older, RHEL, Rocky, Almalinux, or openSUSE/SUSE systems must manually remove the old key before updating.
