Understanding ChatGPT Work

OpenAI's ChatGPT Work, announced in July 2026, is actually two separate products: Work Cloud (accessible via chatgpt.com and mobile apps) and Work Local (a desktop app with file and program access on your computer). Available only to paid subscribers ($20/month and up), Work Cloud offers distinct features not found in regular Chat, including access to different AI models (Sol, Luna, Terra) with various reasoning levels, code execution with internet access, a headless Chrome browser, persistent file storage, and the ability to publish ChatGPT Sites and run sub-agent sessions.
