Toyota is taking the Corolla electric

Toyota is preparing to launch an electric version of the Corolla, its best-selling car with over 57 million units sold worldwide since 1966. The next-generation Corolla will feature a redesigned platform supporting multiple powertrains including battery electric, plug-in hybrid, hybrid, and gas engines, with the hybrid expected to deliver approximately 134 horsepower and be 10-20% more efficient than the current model. The new Corolla, which will be available in sedan, hatchback, crossover, and performance variants, represents a significant overhaul as Toyota adapts to increased competition and technological advances in the automotive industry.
