Tocharian Online

Tocharian denotes two closely related Indo-European languages, Tocharian A and B, discovered in documents from 6th-8th century AD sites along the Silk Road in Chinese Turkestan (modern-day Xinjiang). Tocharian A was spoken in the eastern region around Turfan and Karashahr, while Tocharian B was distributed more widely across the Silk Road from east to west, with most surviving texts being translations of Buddhist works, though some secular documents in Tocharian B also exist.
