The Rust-based React Compiler is now available as native support in Vite v6.1.0, delivering dramatic build speed improvements—one team saw a 17.6× speedup on the compiler portion of their build and a 2.4× overall build speedup. Beyond performance, the native implementation fixes several limitations of the previous Babel-based compiler, including support for conditional logic in try/catch blocks, destructured prop reassignment in closures, and computed object property keys, expanding compatibility for more code patterns.
