The Post-AGI Era

Machines have now crossed the threshold of artificial general intelligence (AGI)—capable of reasoning across domains and performing complex tasks autonomously—though economic adoption lags behind technological capability because most organizations still use AI as a tool to enhance human work rather than replace human workflows. The distinction between "good enough" AI, which makes existing work more efficient, and true AGI, which enables questioning whether humans need to be involved at all, marks the beginning of the post-AGI era and enables new organizational structures built around autonomous agent systems rather than human-centered processes.
