The footprints of every building in NYC – updated weekly

# Summary New York City's Office of Technology and Innovation publishes a weekly-updated dataset containing footprints and details for all 1,082,974 buildings in NYC—those over 400 square feet and 12 feet tall. The dataset includes construction dates, building classifications, and height measurements, revealing that nearly a quarter of NYC's existing buildings were constructed in the 1920s and that one-fifth of tracked structures are garages. This basemap serves as the foundation for virtually all geospatial data used by NYC government agencies.
