Martin von Zweigbergk, creator of the Jujutsu version control system, has been appointed chief technology officer of East River Source Control to lead engineering on next-generation version control platforms. von Zweigbergk previously developed Jujutsu as a side project starting in 2019 and later worked on version control tools at Google, including contributions to Git and the Mercurial client Fig. ERSC is focused on building version control solutions to address the growing demands of source code management in an AI-driven software industry, with Jujutsu remaining an open-source project under Apache 2.0 license.
