Tesla allegedly in autopilot mode crashes into Texas house, woman killed

A Tesla operating in driver-assist mode crashed into a residential house in Katy, Texas on Friday night, killing a woman inside the home. The driver, Michael Butler, allegedly failed to maintain lane control and struck the residence at high speed; he was injured but showed no signs of intoxication and no charges have been filed as of Saturday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation into the crash.
