Sylphide OS: a general-purpose OS for microcontroller-based computers

Sylphide OS is a general-purpose operating system designed for microcontroller-based computers that lack MMUs but offer enough power to recreate the computing experience of 1980s home computers. The project aims to build functional retro computers using modern microcontrollers equipped with standard peripherals like VGA/HDMI displays, USB inputs for keyboards and mice, and storage capabilities, creating an authentic retrocomputing experience as both a user and programmer.
