Switzerland proposes banning profiling-based ads to minors

Switzerland's Federal Council has decided to strengthen youth protection in a new law on communication platforms and search engines, instructing the relevant department to draft legislation by the end of 2027 that would ban profiling-based advertising targeted at minors. The law will also expand reporting procedures to cover all suspected unlawful content on these platforms.
