SparrowMap – Cameras that watch government vehicles

SparrowMap is a crowdsourced surveillance system that uses volunteers' phones or computers to track government vehicles on public roads. The system detects and records only government vehicle plates while automatically destroying data on private vehicles before it leaves the user's device, ensuring privacy protection. All processing happens locally on users' devices rather than on servers, eliminating the risk of video interception.
