Soofi – Sovereign Open Source Foundation Models

The Soofi Consortium has unveiled Soofi S, Europe's first sovereign open-source foundation AI model designed for industrial applications, featuring a 30-billion parameter Mixture-of-Experts architecture trained on 27 trillion tokens primarily in German and English. The model prioritizes transparency, controllability, and deployment on European infrastructure for use cases including technical documentation, code generation, and enterprise-specific applications. Currently in testing phase with industrial partners, Soofi is recruiting companies and organizations across various sectors to pilot the technology before broader release.
