SiFive's First Server Platform

SiFive has unveiled its first server platform, the BigSky SF-2U870, featuring 32 P870-D cores running at 2.2 GHz with support for RVA23 standard, DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0, and GPU acceleration in a standard 2U server form factor. The platform represents a significant upgrade from SiFive's previous development board and positions itself as a RISC-V alternative to comparable offerings from Intel, AMD, and Ampere, while maintaining a practical, "boring" design focused on developer accessibility.
