Show HN: Syq – copy files between machines fast (better than rsync)

Syq is a new file transfer tool designed as a faster, more programmable alternative to rsync for copying files locally or across machines. It supports resuming interrupted transfers, running remote commands, and provides a JSON API and Python SDK for automation, while requiring no SSH server on the receiving machine. Unlike rsync, syq uses its own protocol and doesn't support features like hard links, ACLs, or rolling-checksum deltas.
