A 15-year-old engineer developed a cycloidal gearbox with a 1:9 gear ratio, creating a Python script to generate the design parametrically for use in Fusion 360. After two unsuccessful iterations due to tolerance and precision issues, Version 3 successfully integrated the gearbox with a NEMA 17 stepper motor, achieving a 9cm outer diameter using 3D-printed PLA components.
