DOM-docx is an open-source MIT-licensed tool that converts semantic HTML fragments into native, editable Word documents (OOXML format) featuring paragraphs, runs, lists, tables, and images—not screenshots or layout approximations. The library uses a visual regression testing approach with Chromium and LibreOffice to validate layout and structural fidelity, and can be used via npm package, CLI, or browser.
