Carbon is an open-source manufacturing ERP/MES/QMS system designed for defense, aerospace, and regulated manufacturers that need to keep sensitive data on-premises and within CMMC compliance boundaries. The software runs on a PostgreSQL database that organizations own and control, offering complete data residency, auditability of all code, and integrated functionality for quality management, traceability, and multi-entity accounting. Two hard tech companies currently run Carbon on their own servers, with enterprise deployments supported by white-glove services and compliance documentation.
