Show HN: A local MitM proxy to control TLS fingerprints
A developer has created impersonate-proxy, a local man-in-the-middle proxy that allows users to control TLS fingerprints (JA3/JA4), HTTP/2 fingerprints, headers, and other network identifiers through a YAML configuration file. The tool is designed for authorized security testing of WAF bot-detection systems and includes a Chrome extension for easy profile switching without restarting the proxy. Users can route traffic from curl, browsers, or Playwright through the proxy to test how different fingerprint combinations are classified.
