The company cited COVID-19, rising manufacturing costs, and changing consumer purchasing habits as factors that made it unsustainable for a small American manufacturer to remain competitive. Sherline plans to continue limited production and sales through October 2026 while maintaining customer support, warranty services, and technical resources.
