Rust-lang/rust is adopting an LLM policy

Five Rust project teams have adopted a new policy governing how Large Language Models can be used when contributing to the rust-lang/rust repository, aiming to formalize previously informal community rules and address issues like reduced effort indicators, review bandwidth strain, and mechanical copy-pasting. The policy applies to PR reviewers, authors submitting LLM-generated code, those discovering issues via LLMs, and contributors quoting LLMs, and was created to maintain community standards while providing transparency to new contributors. The policy is not an official Rust project stance and only applies to these specific teams.
