The company introduced rustc_codegen_utc, an alternative code generation backend that connects Rust to Microsoft's Visual C++ (MSVC) compiler infrastructure, enabling seamless interoperability, shared security features, and unified development workflows for hybrid Rust/C++ projects on Windows.
