Critics argue X is financially incentivizing divisive political content and effectively funding an ideologically aligned politician, as owner Elon Musk has repeatedly amplified Lowe's posts. Lowe's total X earnings since the 2024 election have surpassed £105,000, putting him on track to earn around £93,000 annually from the platform—close to the £98,599 MP salary.
