RFC 8890 – The Internet is for End Users (2020)
The Internet Architecture Board published RFC 8890 arguing that the IETF should prioritize the interests of end users when making technical decisions about Internet standards and protocols. While IETF participants often view their work as purely technical and non-political, the RFC contends that technical design choices inevitably have political consequences by enabling certain uses while discouraging others.
