Retraction: The App Store Rejection of the Week That Was a Correct Rejection
John Gruber retracted his previous article criticizing an Apple App Store rejection of an astronomy app called "Dark Hours," after learning the premise was fundamentally flawed. The app's developer, Terry Godier, subsequently revealed that the rejected version actually contained astrology content that had been removed, and Apple's review team clarified they had never received the updated build without that content. Gruber took full responsibility for the error, citing that he was misled by omissions in Godier's original account.
