Resident Evil 4 (GameCube) – complete byte-identical decompilation to C/C++
A complete byte-identical decompilation of Resident Evil 4 for Nintendo GameCube has been successfully recreated in C/C++, reproducing the main executable and all 114 game overlays exactly as they appeared in the November 2004 debug build. The project contains approximately 555,000 lines of source code across 1,083 objects and 15,641 functions, with no game assets or disc code included—users must provide their own debug disc images to build. The decompilation was achieved by identifying the original compilers (SN Systems ProDG 3.9.3 and Metrowerks CodeWarrior) and recreating the build environment to match the original byte-for-byte.
