Register Korea's First PC 'SE-8001' as a National Important Material
South Korea's first personal computer, the SE-8001, launched by Sambo Computer in January 1981, has been registered as a National Important Scientific and Technological Material. The government established a National Registration System to systematically preserve and manage historically significant scientific and technological materials that have contributed to Korea's development, with applications accepted year-round and reviewed twice annually by expert panels.
