Opening up 'Zero-Knowledge Proof' technology to promote privacy in age assurance

Google has open-sourced its Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) libraries to enable privacy-preserving age verification and digital identity solutions. ZKP technology allows users to prove facts about themselves—such as being over 18—without sharing any additional personal data. The release supports EU compliance with the eIDAS Regulation and aims to help developers, businesses, and researchers build privacy-focused applications.
