OpenAI's super PAC is funding an anonymously operated AI-generated news site called Acutus that publishes articles attacking AI industry critics, according to an investigation that traced connections to Targeted Victory, the firm managing OpenAI's $125 million political operation. The site, which launched in December 2025, uses fake AI-generated reporters to solicit comments from critics on policy matters, while 97% of its articles are either fully or partially AI-generated despite claiming to offer "expert-sourced journalism."
