Old and new apps, via modern coding agents by Terry Tao

Mathematician Terence Tao used modern AI coding agents to successfully port his old Java applets from 1999 into modern JavaScript, restoring functionality to visualization tools for complex analysis, linear algebra, and other mathematical concepts. The AI agents completed the migration in hours with minimal bugs and even identified issues in the original code, while also enabling Tao to finally realize a long-abandoned special relativity visualization project that had proven too complex to code manually decades earlier.
