NLnet has awarded grants to 67 new open-source projects across three funds: NGI Zero Commons Fund, NGI TALER, and NGI Fediversity, supporting technologies ranging from privacy-preserving payment systems to open hardware design tools. The funded projects span the entire technology stack, including trustworthy open hardware, browser engines, distributed systems, and scientific tools aimed at building a more open, resilient, and human-centered internet. Selected projects include privacy-friendly payment solutions for logistics, file-hosting platforms, browser improvements, FPGA design tools, and quantum circuit design software.
