New Bedford police officer accused of using Flock cameras to track ex-partner

A New Bedford police officer, Emily Pacheco, has been accused by her ex-girlfriend of using Flock license plate readers to track her movements, leading to an abuse prevention order and an internal affairs investigation. The ex-girlfriend alleged that Pacheco engaged in stalking behavior including unwanted calls, fake phone numbers, and showing up unannounced at her home since April 2026. Following these allegations, the New Bedford Police Department suspended its use of Flock cameras pending a review of past usage.
