My thoughts after using Clojure for about a month

After spending a month learning Clojure by building a static site generator, the author found it to be more ergonomic and cohesive than other Lisp dialects like Common Lisp and Scheme. Clojure benefits from being designed by a single person rather than committee, resulting in consistent abstractions (like treating all sequences uniformly) and a pragmatic "batteries included" standard library hosted on the JVM. The language also provides well-designed first-class data structures—lists, vectors, hash-maps, and sets—that balance Lisp's philosophical purity with practical usability.
