Motorola phones were hijacking the Amazon app through a Smart Feed app update to inject affiliate codes, redirecting users through a browser before opening Amazon. The behavior appeared to route revenue through a fashion influencer's affiliate code, though the connection to Motorola remains unclear. Motorola stated the behavior was "unintended" and has since stopped it.
