More German than many Germans

A Turkish computer science student completed an internship in Hamburg in 2017 that challenged his stereotypical perceptions of Germans as cold and unfriendly. Through positive experiences with his welcoming flatmate and inclusive coworkers, he discovered Germans to be warm and genuinely friendly, ultimately securing a full-time job offer from the company. The internship became a transformative experience that helped him integrate into German culture and professional life.
