Mom Gets 6-Mo Suspended Sentence for Letting 5-Year-Old Walk to the Pond

A Virginia mother was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sentenced to six months in jail (suspended) after allowing her 5-year-old son to walk alone to a pond in their gated community to collect feathers.
