Microsoft has announced MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, a new AI model integrated into MDASH, its vulnerability identification and remediation platform, which delivers world-class cybersecurity performance at 50% of the cost of leading competitors. The model is designed to efficiently handle routine security tasks while reserving more powerful (and expensive) models for complex challenges, achieving a 96% score on CyberGym, the industry benchmark for code vulnerability detection. This approach addresses the growing sophistication of cyber threats by enabling organizations to conduct continuous security scanning at a lower operational cost.
