Looking forward to Git 2.56 – and 3.0

Git 2.56, expected in late September, includes over 700 commits with incremental improvements such as a new `git history drop` command for easier commit removal, enhanced `git status` suggestions, and additional `git refs` subcommands, though it won't fundamentally change the user experience. The more significant changes are anticipated in the follow-up Git 3.0 release, which may introduce breaking changes to the version control system used globally in software development.
