La Cueva BBS in Mexico in 1993 (session replay)
In 1993, Mexican computer enthusiast Óscar Toledo G. connected to La Cueva BBS using a homemade Z280-based computer and a 2400-baud modem, capturing a complete 64KB session log that documented his experience navigating the early bulletin board system. The session replay reveals the technical challenges of the era, including ANSI escape sequence compatibility issues and the need to manually implement terminal features like screen capture buffers to debug display problems. Toledo discovered this historical artifact decades later on an old floppy disk, preserving a rare glimpse of pre-internet Mexican BBS culture from February 1993.
