Konrad Zuse Museum shutting down due to lack of funding

The Konrad Zuse Computer Museum (ZCOM) in Hoyerswerda, Germany faces closure by the end of 2026 after the municipal housing company withdrew its annual 110,000-euro subsidy. Operating since 2017 with a collection of historic computers and exhibits on computing pioneer Konrad Zuse, the museum now depends on city council approval to continue, attracting only around 10,000 paying visitors annually instead of the expected 20,000-25,000.
