Jev: New frontier model 40-400x cheaper and 20-200x faster

TypeSafe AI announced Jev, a new frontier model optimized for structured decision-making and automation rather than text generation, which is 40-400x cheaper and 20-200x faster than existing language models while maintaining similar intelligence levels. Unlike traditional LLMs that generate strings and require parsing, Jev produces type-safe structured outputs with calibrated probabilities and cannot hallucinate, making it directly usable by software. The model was built using a novel training method called Reinforcement Learning for Calibrated Decisions (RLCD) and parallel sampling architecture designed specifically for automation tasks.
