Jellyfin 12.0 is now available as a stable release, featuring database schema improvements, enhanced performance, and better support for books and comics. The upgrade requires users to be on version 10.10.7 or later, demands a full manual backup beforehand, and necessitates a complete library scan after installation, which may take significantly longer than usual. Users must also remove third-party plugins before upgrading and perform a hard refresh of their web cache, as older clients using legacy authentication methods will no longer work.
