International observers to investigate Swedish election fraud

International election observers will investigate suspected election fraud in Sweden following several incidents reported after this year's election, including suspected vote-buying cases and irregularities in Borlänge. The ODIHR (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's election monitoring body) had previously determined Sweden didn't need international observers before the election, but now states that post-election incidents will be factored into future assessments of Sweden's election system. Nearly 10,000 election result appeals have been filed—significantly more than in previous elections—raising questions about the integrity of the voting process.
