A developer of a puzzle game called Dayzle discovered that 60% of app installs from Google ads were bots, but when he submitted evidence to Google, they found nothing wrong and classified the activity as "normal user behavior." Meanwhile, Google suspended his AdMob account for "self-clicking" caused by a known bug in their own full-screen ads that lacked close buttons on certain iOS devices, and has been unhelpful in resolving either issue despite acknowledging the bug.
