I Left Harry's All-Night Hamburgers

A teenager takes a job working the graveyard shift at Harry's All-Night Hamburgers, a rural diner near Charleston, West Virginia, because it's within walking distance of his house and he needs money while his father is unemployed. Harry initially refuses to hire him but eventually relents after the persistent teenager convinces him to give him a chance as a counterman, busboy, and janitor for the midnight-to-7:30 A.M. shift.
