I Am Not a Reverse Centaur
An open source developer describes how the influx of LLM-generated pull requests to his projects has burdened him with excessive code review work, turning him into what Cory Doctorow calls a "reverse centaur"—a person puppeteered by machines. To resist this, he now requires contributors to first discuss proposed changes in an issue before submitting pull requests, immediately closes unsolicited PRs lacking evidence of human involvement, and prioritizes engagement with contributors who demonstrate genuine interest in improving his projects.
