How I developed an Am29000 C compiler and web browser
Oscar Toledo G. developed a C compiler and web browser for the Am29000 processor between late 1998 and 1999, motivated by the difficulty of writing code entirely in machine language for his homebrew computer. After discovering available compiler sources like GCC v2.8.1 online at an Internet café, he undertook the project despite the technical constraints of his 512 KB RAM system, which fell short of the compiler's 2 MB requirement.
