A new AlphaGeo report analyzing 72 of the world's largest cities reveals that climate resilience is not determined by geography alone, but by adaptation policy and investment, with cities showing adaptation deltas of up to 33 points. South Asian megacities like Ahmedabad, Dhaka, and Kolkata face the greatest risk, combining extreme physical exposure with moderate adaptation capacity, while European and African capitals like Paris, Barcelona, and Nairobi demonstrate the strongest resilience with low risk scores.
