Hijacking the PS5's RTMP Stream

A researcher discovered a method to hijack the PS5's RTMP streaming protocol to send game streams to custom destinations like Discord instead of being limited to Sony-supported platforms like Twitch and YouTube. The exploit works by manipulating DNS responses to redirect the PS5's stream connection to a custom server, bypassing Sony's restrictions on third-party streaming services. This provides a cheaper alternative to purchasing a capture card while offering more flexibility than Sony's Remote Play feature.
