Herdr, a CLI-based runtime for coding agents, is joining Y Combinator's F26 batch as its solo founder Can expands the project into a company. The platform allows developers to manage multiple agents across persistent terminal sessions that can run for hours or days, with a terminal UI as its core interface and an open ecosystem that has already spawned over 500 community-built plugins including Raycast extensions and iOS apps. While maintaining its open runtime architecture, Herdr is now seeking to grow beyond its current 25k GitHub stars and 340k downloads with plans for additional client interfaces beyond the terminal UI.
